Thanks to photography team, Marble Rye Photography, And Elli Lauren Photography, these amazing images of this dance party made it onto Ruffled Blog!
This wedding is not only gorgeous but it has some really unique concepts that were so much fun to play with and incorporate. We used some copper troughs, pink himalayan salt cubes, and incorporated some actual cactus into the arrangements which is a little different spin on the whole succulent trend. Even though there is a hint of industrial and geometric shapes in metal in this design, it was so incredibly soft, romantic and elegant at the same time! The couple had a few ideas of what they liked but they had no idea how to reign in all of the ideas into one cohesive look. I constantly received texts of photos from my bride of weddings they were attending, concepts, ideas, florals, all of things she liked but they always contradicted the last. It was fun trying to incorporate little pieces of each one and create that “wow” face when they walked into the wedding spaces. Who would have thought that Coral peonies, cactus, and copper all went together?! Their best friend, named Renewal, married them and they ended the ceremony by carrying their pup “Joey” down the aisle for the recession. They even officially changed their pup’s name to Joey “Lavoie” after the wedding. Too cute!

The groom is in the music industry and so their music list was off the charts and very important to them. Brandon worked in depth with Dart DJs to put together a truly unique song list that kept the dance floor full the entire night! They walked down the aisle to Avett Brothers and Postal Service. First dance song – When I get my hands on you by The New Basment Tapes. We had them start their first dance completely alone and then had the guests enter into the reception during their first dance. It was so romantic. They got to have a minute alone, with their stunning wedding reception all setup around them and the mountains pink from the sun behind them before anyone else came in. I highly suggest it. Couples have so few moments alone on their wedding day, it was truly magical and special for them.
“As you know, I didn’t have an exact vision of our wedding while we were in the planning phases, and Saturday I felt like I walked into a dream that I didn’t even know I had. It was the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen and we haven’t stopped talking about it. We had the greatest time ever and couldn’t have done it without you.”
